 Remember if your using a dynamic protocol, you will need the broadcast statement! pings will work as normal, because they are unicast .... the pseudo broadcast statement is for multicast/broadcast
















































Remembering part of my CCNA Security studies we turned off proxy ARP, specially on public interfaces, instead it is advise to rely on the routing table ... although it has been used in the past as a get of jail card i.e

The best way to route is through proper route tables.  However, I have used proxy arp to get myself out of a jam a time or two when I didn't have access to the endpoints.  One time I split a bridged wan into two routed segments.  There were two Nortel phone units that I had no access to and it was late at night.  I allowed them to function through proxy arp and a secondary address on one end.  This is poor design, but it was late at nigh
