Chapter 3, lecture 5 - EIGRP  Autosummarisation & Manual Summarisation

Carrying on from the last lecture, we are looking at the autosummarisation command, we do not need to configure this on the hub, as the advertisements are coming from the spokes! so this would encompass outgoing updates from EIGRP;

As we know, this is configured under the EIGRP Process, and applied with the "no auto-summary", you can confirm if EIGRP is using auto summary via our friend show ip protocols;

Right, lets do some summarisation, lets get some loopbacks on R1 and advertise them into EIGRP;

Currently the routing table on R3 is showing the loopbacks advertise via EIGRP:

Notice it kills your NEIGHBOUR ADJACENCY!

Chapter 3, Lecture 2 -  Hello Packets And Secondary Addresses

Ah look! we have a neighbourship! BUT Cisco told us we could not form an adjacency with secondary IPs!!! ....

Also we can confirm this via the routing table, notice the next hop addresses are the primary IP address, NOT the SECONDARY .....
